Process Improvement Specialist, Co-op

Pillar5 Pharma Inc., an industry leading Canadian CDMO specializing in off-the-shelf sterile pharmaceuticals for the North American market, has an opening for a Process Improvement Specialist, Co-op, at our Arnprior, ON location. Reporting to the Aseptic Project Manager, you will be responsible for working on identified continuous improvement projects in order to drive the department forward, improve operational reliability, and reduce downtime of manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities

• Take charge and lead process improvement projects in the aseptic processing area.
• Develop project timelines, deliverables, and managing project budgets (if necessary).
• Assist with troubleshooting of production related problems, and work on CAPAs to improve operational reliability.
• Works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve safety, quality and efficiency issues.
• Assist Project Manager with data analysis projects, and preparing presentations for senior leadership.
• Interact cross-functionally with teams such as Quality Operations, Engineering Services, Facilities and Maintenance, Materials Management and Purchasing.
• Review manufacturing approach and provide process improvement recommendations and oversee process enhancements as requested.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year Engineering program, with a minimum of two years completed.
• Understanding and(or) experience performing Root Cause Analysis.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and ideas.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
