Manufacturing Operations Specialist, Co-op

Pillar5 Pharma Inc., an industry leading Canadian CDMO specializing in over the counter ophthalmic and solid dosage pharmaceuticals for the North American market, has an opening for a Manufacturing Operation Specialist, Co-op, at our Arnprior, ON location. Reporting to the Head, Solid dose Operations, you will be responsible for working on identified streamlining projects in order to drive the department forward, improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Take charge and lead project for updating documentation in the Solid Dose Operations area.
• Develop project timelines and deliverables in collaboration with Solid Dose team leads.
• Assist with working on CAPAs to improve operational reliability.
• Works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve safety, quality and efficiency issues.
• Assist Solid Dose department with data analysis projects, and preparing presentations for senior leadership.
• Interact cross-functionally with teams such as Quality Operations, Engineering Services, Facilities and Maintenance, Materials Management and Purchasing.
• Review manufacturing approach and provide process improvement recommendations and oversee process enhancements as requested.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year Engineering program, with a minimum of two years completed.
• Understanding and(or) experience performing Root Cause Analysis.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and ideas.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
