Talent Acquisition Specialist – Contract


Working as part of our small HR team you will own the recruiting process, ensuring Pillar5 meets all staffing requirements. It’s not just about the quantity of hire, but also about the quality of people joining our team – in other words, finding us amazingly talented people. The role will ensure the identification, screening, and interviewing of candidates for all roles within the organization – production, lab, and back-office roles. Other duties include:

  • Using existing tools, review resumes we already have on file. We have candidates already in our systems – we need to mine these.
  • Increase the flow of qualified candidates for our open positions – we need to ensure our hiring teams have a range of candidates to pick and choose from when hiring.
  • Identify, propose, and implement alternative recruitment models/approaches -we’re open to anything to find the best possible candidates.
  • Conduct interviews (phone, video, live) to assess candidates and provide input into hiring decisions – speak to lots of people and decide whether they are the right fit for our company and culture.


The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Degree/diploma/designation in Human Resources (or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and research skills
  • Outstanding communication skills – both oral and written
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to total strangers about their work experience
  • Highly creative – we want someone who will challenge the way we currently recruit
  • Ability to work at all levels within the organization – interface with all hiring teams
