Team Lead, Aseptic Manufacturing

Pillar5 Pharma Inc., an industry leading Canadian CDMO specializing in off-the-shelf sterile pharmaceuticals for the North American market, has an opening for a Team Lead in APA, at our Arnprior, ON location. Reporting to the Head of APA Operators, you will be responsible for production schedule performance and ensuring people, material, and documentation is ready when needed to meet shift production goals. This position has the operational responsibility for meeting targets on each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Own the daily and weekly targets for an aseptic filling team, including scheduling jobs and meeting the production schedule.
  • Ensure staff are fully trained and adhere to all SOPs, aseptic behaviours, and safety requirements.
  • Building and maintaining a highly engaged, production team of equipment operators through active performance management.
  • Provide after-hours support for escalations and resolving production issues.
  • Works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve safety, quality and efficiency issues.
  • Expedite receiving and delivery of materials and assist in RFT line clearances.
  • Interact cross-functionally with teams such as Quality Operations, Engineering Services, Facilities and Maintenance, Materials Management and Purchasing.
  • Review manufacturing approach and provide process improvement recommendations and oversee process enhancements as requested.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum one year leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a GMP environment, preferably in aseptic manufacturing or packaging.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs and exposure to SAP.
  • Demonstrated people management, coaching and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
